The Belle Tones Concert Saturday, September 22nd @ 1:00pm In conjunction with the 37 th Annual John Basilone Parade, Raritan Library is hosting a special musical performance by The Belle Tones on Saturday, September 22 nd at 1:00pm. The Belle Tones are a classy musical trio (often called the 21 st Century Andrew Sisters) who sing and dance their way from the 1920s through the 1950s and beyond, particularly patriotic songs. They have performed at venues including state theatres, sporting events, clubs, fairs and even on the radio with Joe Piscopo from Saturday Night Live. Register for an afternoon of fun music and nostalgic entertainment!

Somerset County's Weekend Journey through the Past Saturday, October 13, 2018 10am to 5pm Sunday, October 14, 2018 12pm to 4pm Our historic site, the General John Frelinghuysen Home, will be open for tours on the weekend of October 13 th and 14 th. Special Programming on Sunday, October 14 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm: Musical performance by fife and drum player, Erik Lichack, who will play traditional military music of the American Revolutionary period. 18 th Century Fashion demonstration by Eliza Vincz who will also discuss how she creates her own period clothing, hairstyles and cosmetics using materials and techniques used in the late 18 th Century. Erik Lichack and Eliza Vincz are both members of the Early American Music and Arts. This program is made possible by funds from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
